Life is like a Movie-making

I read a book to find more about Planning and i came across some example the author give in Planning.

He talks about Movie-making. He said, there are three important phases in movie-making; preproduction, production and postproduction.


The most important part is preproduction and this phase took the most time in the process of making a movie. A script is just the beginning. After a script is finished, it's the turn for storyboard. Storyboard is sketched by artists on blank papers. It looks like TV frame. The storyboard is to show what will be seen on the screen, and it's to tell the crews of what will be done here, what will be done there, who stand here, this person do what, that person do what, where will the lights be and stuff like that. Each storyboard will cover a scene and every scene will be combined to form the whole movie.

The reason they do this is because, when millions of dollars are invested, with about 200 crews involved with all those expensive equipment on set, they don't want to waste much time and effort, not to mention about money...

Last time, Lunatic told me that she believes Life is like a Movie where everyone just act according to the script written. I disagreed with her. I believe that Life is Novel that you wrote yourself. The ending is yet to be told, but the ending is determined by yourself...

Now, i wanna change abit of my view towards life. Life is like a Movie (i agree with Lunatic now) BUT we are the producer. We produce everything ourselves for our Life Movie. We are the scriptwriter, we are the actor, we are the crew, we are the director. I'm kinda sad here that if we look at our life like a movie... Most people turn up at the shooting place but don't know what to do in producing their own movie.

The point is... Most of us never plan ahead for our path and our life. We just live through like that everyday, and expect something good will happen someday. We just hope and dream and think and never do anything for what we want. Plan well your life. I know some of you already got your own plan. Just be true to the process :)
